And all the baggage together, a juicy prize for some marauding Vikings perhaps?

SAGA Baggage
After reading through the scenario's at the back of the SAGA rulebook I thought it would be good to try the Escort scenario at the club meeting this week? So after placing an order with GB for some Manx Langton sheep and Pack Horses I then remembered that i had a cart laying about somewhere as well( I think it was originally a celtic cart I'd bought ages ago for a project that never got off the ground?). Pictures below....
SAGA Anglo-Dane Warband
My third and final Warband, the Anglo Danes! Hurrah. First up the Warlord
Next up The Hearthguard, 4 points in total, two armed with Dane-Axes, one with spears, and one with swords.
Next are two points of warriors
And finally one point of Levy
So thats 7 points in total, plus a choice of Warlord to give me a bit of variation. Hoping to get them out on the table at the club meeting on Sunday, and take some pictures of the games too.
Then I happened to find this guy in the back of a draw, he is the figure they gave away at Salute06? So I am undecided who to use as Warlord

Plastic Soldier Company STuG's
I have recently brought a box of the Plastic Soldier Company STuG's and have started to paint them up. I have made them up as Late War STuG G's to go with my LW Germans (Now up to about 4500pts!). I also trimmed some of the Schurzen skirts on some of the vehicles to make them more individual and added jerry cans from my spares box. Once again another great product from Plastic Soldier and I'm looking forward to future releases from them. They 're a great way to build an army without breaking the bank.

Flames of War Large Desert Game
Last months club meeting saw us playing a large FOW desert game with 3 companies per side. I took along my Italian Fucilieri, and Desrt Rats, Chris had his 8th Army, and Andrew supplied the Afrika Korps, and Bersiglieri. Thanks to Simon for taking all the pictures
So the Allies were Alan, Chris, John and Tony against John, Andrew, Simon, and myself. As we were Italians for the most part we decided to defend(rather than just run away!!). The game started with the Khamseen blowing so night fighting rules were in force.
Pictures of the game below
Me on the right about to fail some roll (again!)

John and Tony enjoying trouncing the Italians while i look for more flame markers

My 90/53 AA guns about to get wiped out by Allied recon in turn 1
John gets revenge on Tony's Recon carriers
Lots of italian casualties! And a few Allied ones
The Bersiglierii hold the Axis right flank in the village
Highlight of the game for me was my planes attacking on the left flank and destroying two Valentines
The Italian airforce finally arrive, unfortunately they only managed one attack all game
Final result was a draw as we ran out of time, but my Italian Fucilieri were close to breaking on the left flank so a pretty close run thing for them. A very enjoyable game and nice to get lots of troops on the table.
In the New Year we are starting a Flames of War league, being organised by Bill and have about 15 armies taking part? Should be interesting, I'm using a Panzer Lehr force with attached Tigers and I will post pictures of my games as and when they happen.

Flames of War
I suppose I have been playing Flames of War for about a year now, having been converted at the club from IABSM, which I occasionally still play.
I have four armies at the moment, Italian Fucilieri, Desert Rats, Late War British, and Late war Panzer Lehr. I will post pictures in due course but in the meantime here is some pictures of my Afrika Korps which I recently sold on Ebay....

Wings of War
Another love of mine is Wings of War, which I don't get to play as often as I'd like anymore. A couple of years ago I used to run a Play by Email Game, which had about 40 odd players involved from around the globe.

SAGA Viking Warband
My second Warband are the Vikings, again 7 points worth to allow a bit of variation in the force. These performed very well against the Normans at the club on Sunday, winning 4 games out of five!
First up the Warlord ( Gripping Beast freebie, in leiu of dice), Hearthguard and Berserkers.
One unit of warriors
Second unit of warriors
And finally my unit of Viking Levy Archers
A mixture of figures including Gripping Beast, Wargames Factory, Crusader, and Black tree
