Dystopian Wars....Its Coming!

I have taken the plunge and bought some Dystopian Wars stuff off Ebay, a Prussian and Kingdom of Britannia Battle Group to be precise. I have also got the rulebook, Britannia Aircraft carrier, Dreadnaught, Prussian Sky Fortress and Prussian Dreadnaught from Helix Games so lots of painting for me over Christmas and New Year (Well there's bugger-all on the telly! lol)

I will post pictures as I get things done and will start with the Kingdom of Britannia Battle Group.

I am also looking at the Prussian Scout airships as well depending on what Santa brings me?

StuG G Platoon Completed!

I have finally completed my Late War German STuG G Platoon to add to my German Army. These are the Plastic Soldier Company STuG's and I chopped some of the Shcurzen on some of the models to make them more individual. Quite pleased with the way they turned out

                                        First up the Command vehicle

A couple of Objective markers

And my SS Armoured Company

Pussycats!!

Panzer Platoon
Panzer IV H's

SS Recon Platoon

SS Pioneer Platoon

So thats my LW Germans, I've just bought some Plastic Soldier Company STuG's which I'm going to add at some point, and I may get some PSC Panthers when they come out, just cos I love em!

Flames of War Late War British

My third army are my Late War British, the Tyne Tees Infantry, and 4th County of London Yoemanry to be precise. These two arms fought together directly after D-Day as the Yoemanries infantry were still waiting to come ashore. They saw action throughout the Normandy campaign, most notably at Villers-Bocage, where they ran into a certain Herr Wittman and his pussycat!

                                                        Tyne Tees up first

                                                                     HQ
The Old Man, "Arthur Reginald Septimus Ecclestone", or "Arse"
to his men, but only behind his back!?

Infantry Platoon (3 in total, one shown)

                                                       Mortars, 3" and 4.2" Plattons

6 Pdr Battery

Recon
All armed with .50cal machine guns

HMG's

Sexton 25pdr Battery with Sherman Op's

Staff Team

Next...........

The 4th County of London Yoemanry
They rode in Cromwell's, with a Sherman Firefly instead of all Shermans

HQ

Tank Platoon, I have four in total but only one shown

M10 Tank destroyers

Recon
Stuart Light Tanks

I have names on all the armour with decals from Dom's decals
The Armoured platoons and Hq are all named after birds (not historical but it ties them all together)

Flames of War 8th Army

My second army (well actually the first one I collected) is the 8th Army, who are usually up against my Italians? Infantry are all Peter Pig, vehicles are a mixture, and the planes are a plastic kit.

                                                                       HQ
The "Old Man", Binky Heyho, and 2iC

Infantry Platoon
Again i have 3 of these but they're all the same

                                                                     HMG

                                                                        Mortars

                                                                   2 pdr's

                                                            25 Pdr Battery

                                                                   Matilda's

And finally the RaF, I've only got two planes rather than 3, but you get the idea?

Not a bad little force, and they've been in North Africa long enough to get they're knees brown! The "Old Man", Binky, knows his stuff but the armour does tend to get the whip out and charge into enemy anti-tank screens more times than not!?

Flames of War Italians

At last i seem to have got around to taking pictures of my FOW armies, first up is the Italian Fucilieri, with Carri Company support. I've played these guys 5 times at the club so far and they have won one game and drawn four, not bad for the Italians. I always take a moral victory if they happen to get over the half-way line in any battle lol

Italian HQ with Solothurn anti-tank guns

Fucilieri Infantry platoon
(I've actually got 3 of these in my Company but they're all the same)

Italian Mortar Platoon

                                                      Italian HMG Platoon

                                                              Anti-Tank Gun Platoon
(Will just about scratch the paintwork of any Allied Tank!)

                                                                 Artillery Platoon
Much more successful if used in direct fire rather than bombardments

The pride of my force, The Heavy AA Platoon, or the Italian version of 88's
Unfortunately these seem to get destroyed in the first turn in most of the games I've played?

Light AA platoon, ok at shooting down the RAF, sometimes??

The Italian Airforce, they can be very effective if and when they turn up!!

Light Tank Platoon, pretty useless, nuff said!

                                              Italian M14/40 Tank Company
Better against enemy Infantry than armour

Another favorite of mine, Semovente's

So there they are, my Italians, not always rubbish, depending on how I roll on the Eight Million Bayonets rule, but hardly the best army in FOW. However always fun to play and I like the models.
