I have finally completed my Late War German STuG G Platoon to add to my German Army. These are the Plastic Soldier Company STuG's and I chopped some of the Shcurzen on some of the models to make them more individual. Quite pleased with the way they turned out

And the Platoon together
Let me know what you think?
They look really nice, like they were used in battle conditions.
ReplyDeleteAre these Plastic Soldier Company models?
Hi Mirek,
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the models.
Yes they are Plastic Soldier Company, which I am a big fan of. I like to make the vehicles "battle-worn" where possible without going too overboard. With these I did a base coat of middlestone, then a coat of thinned brown ink was applied over the whole model. When this was dry I drybrushed with middlestone to pick out the details. I then painted the green camo details over the schurzen and then they were decaled. Next i used a small piece of sponge dipped in German Grey to add wear and tear on the vehicle. They were then matt varnished twice and I used earth pigment on the tracks and lower parts to simulate dust and mud. Finally I used a HB pencil to add chips here and there over the worn areas.
